Okay- let’s get this one out of the way. It’s (mostly) finished! It just needs felting.
It’s a pouch. Done in 100% fisherman’s wool. Not comfortable to knit with AT ALL. As a matter of fact- it’s the second least comfortable thing I’ve EVER knitted.
The first being a scarf made of sari silk, which was never finished, because the silk had absolutely no give, and broke in a dozen different places. I finally gave up and scrapped it. Beautiful to look at; soft to pet, but I’m never knitting with that stuff AGAIN.
Back to the pouch: I had the idea that if it was a quick knit- I could whip up 10 or so for my class. And felt them. And I can, but not by Saturday. So this little guy is probably going to hold my finishing needles or something. It reminds me of a Jayne hat…
So here are the three projects currently on my needles:
So what’s on your needles?
I’ve got a slouchy hat, a tweed sweater, a mitten in sock yarn (which is stuck because I knit the first one on size 2 instead of size 4, do I really want to knit 3 mittens in sock yarn) and my scrap blanket.
That means you have to knit one more on size 2’s, so you’ll have four mittens instead of three!
I’d rather poke my eyes out with the size 2 needles then knit another mitten on them. My hands are cramping just thinking about this!
I understand. I don’t like going below 4 mm (US size 6) myself. I feel like I’m going to snap the needles in half, and they just look too small. 😀
Oh and your lace is so pretty!!!!
Pretty, but slow. That pattern requires a lot of attention. And I WILL finish it, but I’m thinking a faster, simpler pattern will settle my need to get it done NOW.
And thank you!
A pair of socks, toddler hat, and a Halloween scarf!
